We took part in a panel on Becoming a CFO or Partner - what does it take? With accountingcpd’s Alan Nelson and Ben Rawal joining a panel of experts to explore the characteristics required to reach the most senior finance positions – CFO or Partner.
We lead a session on AI: Beyond the Hype where Alan Nelson and accountingcpd author Jeremy Swinfen Green discuss this year’s hot topic in accounting – AI. They tried to paint a more plausible potential digital future for accountancy by discussing the substantial opportunities alongside the acknowledged downsides such as wasted investments, bias and unfairness, privacy fears, compliance concerns, and societal and sustainability issues.
There was another session from Alan on Building your professional credibility. In this one, he explored why some gain trust effortlessly while others struggle. Alan interviewed senior finance professionals on how they developed their own credibility. This session, which you can watch in full below, explores what professional credibility is, breaking it down and providing practical tips on how to overcome them.
