About Lisa Weaver

Lisa Weaver is Professor of Accounting at Warwick Business School. After qualifying (ICAEW), she spent several years in audit practice with Deloitte and was part of the national audit training faculty at KPMG. Since leaving practice, Lisa has worked in a variety of education-focused roles, including executive education and has maintained strong links with the accountancy professional bodies.

In 2015 Lisa was awarded Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy in recognition of her excellence in teaching practice and commitment to building the development of professional skills and competencies into teaching.

In 2019, along with colleagues from Aston University and De Montfort University, Lisa was shortlisted for the prestigious Finance for the Future Award.

Lisa has worked in accounting education in many parts of the world, including the EU, Asia and the Caribbean. She has presented CPD courses globally, spending considerable time in Hong Kong and China.

In 2014, Lisa published a practitioner's guide to successful implementation of IFRS, and in 2023 co-authored with ACCA the report Ethical Dilemmas in an Era of Sustainability Reporting. Her auditing textbook, co-authored with fellow accountingcpd author, Steve Collings, is due for publication in 2024.
